The Fremont County Pioneer Museum is located in Lander, WY in the foothills of the Wind River Mountains. Native American history and culture, pioneers, agriculture and naturalist history are the focus

Come and see local wildlife, learn about legendary trapper and mountain man Jake Korrell, and dive into the history of Wyoming and the Old West! The museum exhibits 62 full body mounts of wildlife, plus 27 life-size wax figures, historic scenes of the fur trade era, western exploration, Native Americans & early settlement of the West. We also have a number of horse drawn farm equipment and a 1908 wilderness cabin. There is local beadwork, jewelry, antiques, and authentic traps for sale.
