Riverton has a packed schedule of events that brings together locals and visitors all summer long. A unique way to wrap up the season is to attend the delicious Rendezvous City Beef Round-Up. 

This year’s round-up on August 26 promises to be the biggest year yet. The round-up began as a way to bring beef producers and consumers together to celebrate beef. Over the last four years, the event has grown tremendously and educates the public on the benefits and sustainability of beef production, provides educational sessions for producers on industry practices, and showcases the exceptional flavor of beef.

The event has built up a national audience, with beef producers attending from Minnesota, Texas, the East coast, and all over the Rocky Mountain Region. Local restaurant owner James Bunker has made a push to expand even more through social media by attracting the attention of food celebrities like Guy Fieri. 

There are speakers and sessions for both beef consumers and producers. Interested visitors can attend fun educational classes such as smoking meats, meat science, and steak and wine pairing. Producers and their teams can learn about topics from direct marketing and retail sales to eco beef and meat packing. 

Local celebrities will judge the Best Beef in Wyoming and Best Beef in the West competitions during a ticketed VIP steak tasting dinner. It’s a great event to support the local economy and become a more informed consumer. There will be lots of delicious food and products as well.
