Celebrate the Season with Sonharvest

There is a unique specialty farm in Riverton, WY that draws in families from the entire region. Owned by Brian and Kim Peil, Sonharvest Seasons has been a part of the Riverton community for 30 years. It is the only pumpkin patch in Fremont County and has created a fun family atmosphere that brings people back year after year.

“It’s a joy to watch how people have made a trip here into a family tradition,” Brian said. “We get to see families having fun.”

The Peils started the farm with raspberries, taking them to farmers markets. But as they established themselves, the demand for their raspberries grew and grew and they moved them into local stores. Pumpkins came soon after.

“We thought we’d sell them in the stores the same way as the raspberries,” Brian said. But the pick-your-own approach seemed to be more popular, and the Peils turned their farm into the perfect fall destination. “People come from places as far as Casper, Rawlins, and even Dubois,” said Brian.

The farm is more than just finding the perfect pumpkin. They have different squashes, gourds, local art, and fall decorations. Families can have fun exploring a corn maze (and a mini maze for younger kids). They sell their home-made raspberry-based jams and syrups on site as well as their signature raspberry drink.

For locals, it’s hard to think of fall without a visit to Sonharvest Seasons. Pumpkin picking ends on Oct 31st. Check out their Facebook page before you go if weather conditions are questionable.
