Join the Riverton Museum for their next Wyoming Community Bank Speaker Series event to learn about the Postal History of Fremont County on Wednesday, June 1st at 6 pm at the Riverton Museum. Stan Grove presents a wide-ranging assortment of postal history items, with a focus on Fremont County, from the first 100 years of Wyoming’s participation in the Westward Expansion. He traces the evolution of postal service from Oregon Trail and Pony Express to the rapid multiplication of post offices in the early 1900s and their eventual dwindling to the eleven we have today.
